Based on the protective amulet design of the arrowhead, this striking design has been embellished with deep violet Amethyst teardrops and given an antiqued, oxidised finish. Amethyst has a rich history, filled with folklore and intrigue. Favoured by monarchs and the clergy due to the belief of its anti-intoxication properties, it has been used as amulets for soldiers, carved into wine goblets for Kings and set into the episcopal rings of Bishops and Popes. Its regal colour is caused by minute traces of iron in pure, natural Quartz.
