The name is derived from the Latin word for yellow, ‘citrina’ Like all other Quartz-based minerals, it’s the impurities that give rise to their colour, Citrine owes its beautiful honey tones to minute ferric or iron deposits.

The easiest way to find out your size is to measure the internal diameter of an existing ring, but there are a couple of points to remember. Firstly, your fingers will vary in size depending on the weather and the time of day, mornings and cool weather can reduce your fingers by up to a full size. Also, the style of shank of the ring can make a big difference too, a wide, thick band will make the ring feel tighter, a fine, thin band will feel much looser.
