DESCRIPTION
A classic Eye of Horus pendant, set with an Afghani Lapis cabochon. Filled with history and meaning, this ancient symbol represents healing and protection to Egyptians dating back as far as 2600 BCE. Folklore has it that the Sky deity, Horus, lost his eyes in a battle with the god Set, having them returned to him by another god, possibly Thoth, he offered them to his deceased father Osiris to protect him in the afterlife, after this time it has always been equated with protection and healing and restoration.
