Gorgeous pendant and earrings set, two beautiful, natural Baroque Biwa Pearls have been skilfully set, following the contours of the precious gems with the addition of a stunning blue topaz oval gem. A perfect combination, two gems that were made for each other!

Pearl-Pure-Divine-Grace
The only gemstone to be created by a living animal, pearls form inside a mollusc’s shell when a tiny particle becomes lodged inside. The animal produces a substance called nacre to protect itself and layers of the substance cover the intrusion over time, forming an iridescent pearl. Naturally occurring pearls are extremely rare, most pearls today come from highly sophisticated pearl farms.
Blue Topaz-Connect-Harmony-Tranquil
Normally a brownish yellow, the variety of colours in natural Topaz are caused by impurities present as the stone forms. Used in the Middle Ages to ward off the evil eye and as an amulet for travellers, Blue Topaz comes in several shades, the result of being heated at different temperatures. Topaz is photosensitive and so can change colour when exposed to heat and light.
